Graeme Henderson is the Managing Partner and Marketing Director of The BootRoom Collection, the Middle East’s first and only luxury Brand for exclusively signed sporting memorabilia, and a man who describes himself in three words: “reflective, grounded, approachable”. With a career spanning over 20 years in the luxury retail sector, Henderson translated his passion for luxury sports retail to his own brand for sports memorabilia in the Middle East, alongside business partner and fellow Brit, Craig McKelvie.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland; Henderson moved to South Wales for five years with his family when he was two; he then moved to Bristol and has now resided in Dubai for the past 10 years. Henderson Graduated from Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom with a degree in Marketing and began his retail career at WH Smith in Bristol at the age of 16.

He worked for various retailers including TK MAXX & JJB Sports, before relocating to Dubai where he became Area Manager for Al Tayer Group in the luxury sector. With no contacts or family in the region at the time, he says the move to the Emirates was one of his greatest life challenges to date.

Eventually Henderson moved on to join Bloomingdales for a period of six years as home Store Manager, and was promoted to Deputy Store Manager before feeling the time was right to launch his own retail brand in Dubai.

After discovering a mutual passion for football with long time friend and current business partner, Craig McKelvie, the two sport fanatics identified a gap in the Middle East market for a genuine signed sporting memorabilia in the luxury retail sector, and decided to take the leap of faith and leave their current jobs to launch The BootRoom Collection.

“For me this isn’t work. The BootRoom Collection delivers unique and high quality signed sporting memorabilia to the Middle East, pieces that bring joy and memories to sporting fans right across the region and will do so for many years to come. We’re fans ourselves, and share in the same emotions and experiences as our customers. This is our passion and what drives us forward,” Henderson said.

Inspired by traditional sporting memorabilia with a luxury offering, The BootRoom Collection launched in Dubai in 2018. Driven by the philosophical belief of creating memorabilia “from fans, to fans”, The BootRoom Collection works with trusted partners to provide luxury quality in terms of framing and the technique used in packaging. Experts in luxury sports memorabilia tailored to sports fanatics in the Middle East, The BootRoom Collection also offers customisations for fans.
