Instrumental to Sir Alex Ferguson’s early success at Manchester United and regularly ranked amongst the greatest players ever to play for the club by supporters, the impact that Eric Cantona made at Old Trafford has never been forgotten.
Joining from rivals Leeds United in November 1992, the Frenchman spent four-and-a-half seasons in Manchester during which time he won four Premier League titles and two FA Cups – including two League and Cup Doubles.
Cantona scored 82 goals in 182 appearances for Manchester United before retiring in 1997 and was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
